APL COLOR held another beauty lecture at Bukdu Chilseong Library in Busan, where the company teaches regularly. From full personal color diagnosis to body-frame analysis and face-shape makeup classes, the program is so popular that registration fills up as soon as each announcement goes out.
This session focused on two practical, ready-to-use themes. The lecture was led by APL COLOR’s deputy director, a former MAC makeup artist.
The first part, face-shape-tailored makeup, covered contouring that plays up the strengths of each face shape — oval, round, angular, and long — along with brow sketching that changes the whole impression, eyeliner techniques for each eye shape, lip application, and blusher and shading placement formulas. In the second part, instead of a full diagnosis, attendees’ skin brightness and red/yellow undertones were measured with APL’s own professional colorimeter, and each participant received a personal guide to the lip, eye, and base color ranges they can use in daily life.
For the hands-on session, attendees applied makeup to one half of their face in their usual style, received 1:1 coaching on points to adjust — brow length, shading placement, and more — and then applied the corrections to the other half to compare the results side by side. Questions continued even after the class ended.
