On Saturday, September 12, APL COLOR visited Yeonje-gu Family Center in Busan to hold an on-site personal color lecture. The session was part of “Tone-myeodeulda,” a program run under the center’s co-parenting childcare-sharing education and community childcare space initiative.

About 50 participants took part in the session. To keep one-on-one diagnosis running smoothly for such a large group, APL COLOR brought in four consultants in total — three in-house consultants and one external partner consultant.

A notable feature of the session was that whole families attended together, spanning grandparents, parents, elementary school students, and young adults. Adult participants showed strong interest in applying color to everyday outfits and makeup, while younger participants actively asked questions about their own color tones.

The lecture followed four stages: ① personal color fundamentals, including how to distinguish Warm and Cool tones, ② self-diagnosis using a take-home kit, ③ one-on-one expert diagnosis with a consultant, and ④ styling tips based on each participant’s diagnosis results.

Participants who completed the program received a personal color self-diagnosis kit, a seasonal palette card, and an image-matched perfume. APL COLOR tailors its lecture, hands-on practice, one-on-one diagnosis, and color experience components to the size, age range, and purpose of each group, and this session at Yeonje-gu Family Center gave family members of all ages a chance to discover each other’s colors together.
