APL COLOR held the second round of its personal color–based makeup group class at Busan’s Bukdu Chilseong Library. APL COLOR is a subsidiary of APLs Inc., which operates the Korea Color Fashion Beauty Association (KCFB), and it runs classes across a range of fields in collaboration with the association’s instructors. The first and second rounds of this class were taught by instructor Shin Yang-hee, director of Raum Beauty.
A total of 10 students took part in this round, which drew such strong interest that it sold out early and generated a waiting list. The class began with a theory session covering the latest makeup trends and the principles of emphasis and omission, followed by a demonstration and individual hands-on practice.
Before the session began, students’ makeup pouches were reviewed, their skin was measured with a proprietary colorimetry program, and a visual assessment was added to recommend suitable colors. Individual issues — such as a narrow eye hollow or the need for eyebrow grooming — were addressed by the instructors one-on-one in turn.
At Bukdu Chilseong Library, APL COLOR runs personal color group classes, body-type analysis group classes, and makeup group classes, and is also preparing a makeup class tailored to face shape.
