APL COLOR runs personal color analysis and body-type/body-frame analysis classes as a regular program at Bukdu Chilseong Library (160 Chungjang-daero, near Busan Station) in Busan’s Dong-gu district.
In the personal color class, participants first try a self-diagnosis kit during their wait time, after which a consultant conducts a precise one-on-one diagnosis using draping fabrics. Based on the results, participants also receive guidance on their seasonal type, color-coordination methods, fragrance, makeup tips, hair dye colors, accessory colors, and more.
The body-type/body-frame analysis class follows a practical, hands-on curriculum: after a self-assessment, a professional consultant analyzes upper- and lower-body proportions, the center of the body, rise length, shoulder/waist/hip lines, and bone-frame type, and even advises on whether to keep buying the fashion items a participant wears regularly.
Competition to register is so fierce each round that participants have said it feels like “buying concert tickets.” Because the classes are held in the open setting of a library, local residents who found visiting a specialized center intimidating can take part with ease.
