APL COLOR conducted a “Personal Color with Mathematics” group diagnosis and lecture at Busan Math Culture Center. The center is an institution with which APL COLOR has maintained a lecture partnership for several years, and it commissioned another lecture in the first half of this year. A total of 22 people signed up for the session.
In keeping with the character of a math culture center, the lecture was conducted by extracting the skin’s LAB values (brightness, redness, and yellowness) with a colorimeter and confirming them as data. The session demonstrated, through actual measurement data, that a high level of yellowness does not necessarily indicate a warm tone, and that a high level of redness does not necessarily indicate a cool tone. In one case, a participant measured as a “yellow cool tone” with high yellowness had believed herself to be an autumn mute type but was diagnosed as a winter clear type.
Participants first checked the colors that suited them using a self-diagnosis kit, then underwent a one-on-one diagnosis with a professional consultant. Based on the diagnosis results, they received makeup tips and information on perfume, hair color, and jewelry color, while male participants were given tailored guidance on accessory, necktie, and eyewear colors.
All participants received one image color card, one self-diagnosis kit set, and a 3 ml perfume matched to their image. APL COLOR provides personal color group diagnoses and lectures for companies, government offices, and institutions.
